1 on 1 Course/Training

Education should be at the top of the “To Do List” when you are embarking on Beekeeping. For this service you can come to our property, throw on a bee suit and inspect our Hives and Nucs with Daniel. He will give you a run down on all the elements of the Beehive, whilst teaching you about the bees, their behaviors, and the environment they live in. You will have an opportunity to ask any questions along the way, and really get a feel for the hive. We can show you all the equipment/hiveware in our shop, to familiarize you with all the tools used to keep bees. For those who want to experience it all, we can then continue through to extracting the honey from the very hive you have been working on. 

PRICE: $80/hr. Note: Minimum payment of $80 to be paid when booking, the remaining amount will be invoiced separately by us, depending on the time/services required.

Hive Inspection

For this service, we can come to you! We can have an experienced, registered beekeeper come out on-site to your location and assist you with your bees. Whether it’s assistance with an existing nuc or hive, or a swarm that needs to be removed – we can help you out. We can give you guidance with your bees, and help you navigate the situation. This service can include: Hive inspections, health checks, and emergency call outs. 

PRICE: $1/km of travel, $100 for the initial hour, $80/hour for remaining time on site. Note: Minimum payment of $80 to be paid when booking, the remaining amount will be invoiced separately by us, depending on the time/services required.

Requeening Service

Requeening should be done every 2 years. It is especially important for those in the residential areas, to lower the amount of swarming in Spring and to ensure the bees are of a docile nature. The added bonus is a higher honey production! With this service we can provide you with a newly bred Queen Bee and install her into your hive. The Requeening Service is a 3-step process – however, you are welcome to complete any of these steps yourself to lower your costs. Step 1 – Inspect the hive and remove the current Queen/Queen Cells. Step 2 – Introduce the new Queen. Step 3 – Inspect the hive to ensure the Queen has been accepted and is active within the hive.

PRICE: Initial Visit – $1/km of travel, $100 for the initial hour, $80/hour for remaining time on site. Supplementary visits – $1/km of travel, $80/hour

Flow Hive Assistance

Interested in becoming a Flow® Hive owner? We can provide a full initial setup, including assembly if you wish, as well as ongoing support and troubleshooting. 
(Please don’t ask us to assist if you have purchased a non-genuine Auto-Flow style hive, from our experience these are fraught with issues, and we won’t be involved in undermining a great Australian invention)
